The Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos Echavarría, informed this Sunday that the National Plan of Happy Family Housing will be extended to San Cristóbal in 2024.
While leading a Christmas lunch with community members of that province, the official also indicated that within the projects to be executed by the Government, which are part of the Integrated Transportation System (SIT), is the Santo Domingo-San Cristóbal train, with a projection for 2025.
“San Cristóbal is on the President’s mind. This is why we are also working on a road plan, mainly for the urban areas, hand in hand with the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant), and this province is included,” he assured.
On the other hand, the minister advanced that, by disposition of President Luis Abinader, a plan of important works will be executed in San Cristóbal, as well as in the whole country.
“A plan has been designed that includes asphalting works and reconstruction of streets, in which San Cristóbal will have an important inclusion”, said the minister.
Day in San Cristóbal
Earlier, Minister Joel Santos Echavarría accompanied President Luis Abinader to the XLVI Graduation of the National Police of the Escuela Mayor “General José Félix Rafael Hermida González”.
At the ceremony, 57 cadets were invested as officers, having completed their studies to become graduates in Police Sciences of the “José María Serra” graduating class.
