Vehicles delivered to strengthen tourism security

President Abinader and Minister Collado deliver vehicles to strengthen tourism security.

35 pickup trucks and 30 motorcycles will be distributed in the different tourist destinations of the country.

In their effort to continue strengthening tourism security, President Luis Abinader and Minister David Collado delivered this Monday 65 motor vehicles, with an investment of more than 111 million pesos.

The 35 pickup trucks and 30 motorcycles were handed over to the director of the Tourist Police, General Minoru Matsunaga, during a ceremony held at the Ozama Fortress in the Colonial City.

The vehicles will be distributed in the Colonial City and other tourist destinations in the country.

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, stated that no effort will be spared by MITUR to guarantee the safety of national and foreign tourists.

“Since we came to the ministry, we have given priority to the issue of tourism safety,” said Minister Collado.

He affirmed that by strengthening tourism security, “we guarantee that more tourists will continue to choose our country for vacations.”

“Our country is and will continue to be an unquestionably safe destination,” said Minister Collado.

General Minoru Matsunaga expressed his gratitude for the delivery of the vehicles and said that they will be immediately put into operation in the different destinations.
