The Dominican Republic received some 2.5 billion dollars in remittances during the first quarter of the year, which represents an increase of 3.6% compared to the same period last year, the Central Bank informed on Thursday.
In a document, the issuing entity specified that, specifically, last March a remittance value of some 915.1 million dollars was registered, with an increase of 3.0% compared to this month of 2022.
These flows, it indicated, mark the third consecutive month of increase since the beginning of the year, extending the rise observed since the beginning of the last quarter of 2022.
