The representative of the Dominican Republic, Andreina Martinez, managed to position herself as the 2nd finalist of 
the 71st edition of Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans.
R’Bonney Gabriel is the new Miss Universe 2023. The 28 year-old American woman won the crown after beating Venezuela’s Amanda Dudamel and the Dominican Republic’s Amanda Dudamel. It is the ninth crown for the United States.
This was the last parade of the Dominican Republic’s candidate.
In the most tense moment of the competition, the three finalists paraded for the last time before knowing the winner. America will have one more queen.
