The 2021 edition of the Culinary Cup of the Americas will be held on September 15 and 16 as part of the Santo Domingo gastronomy expo and will be held at the majestic and secure facilities of the Catalonia Santo Domingo Hotel & Convention Center.
The Culinary Cup of the Americas in its 5th international edition is considered the main culinary competition of the Caribbean region and will be held within the main commercial exhibition for the food and beverage industry in the country and will receive culinary teams from several countries in the region, already confirmed Chile, Bolivia and Colombia, and our country as host will receive international jurors George Castañeda and Victor Sommo, certified chefs for judges in international competitions, in turn will compete at the national level the main universities with junior teams and senior teams by chefs from major hotel chains in this country.
During the two days, there will also be a large exhibition with the presence of the main suppliers of the hospitality industry: manufacturers, importers, producers, distributors of gastronomic products, machinery, utensils and services.
In addition, there will be live presentations in which great masters of international stature will present their most relevant innovations and techniques, complemented by workshops, tastings and master conferences with national and international gastronomy experts.
The announcement was made by the organizing committee, made up of Marcelle Alvarez, Executive Director of AGH, and Raymundo Morales of Host 360, the company in charge of producing the event and who combine more than 14 annual conventions held in the gastronomy and hospitality sector.
Expo Gastronomica 2021 will be held with the highest international standards of biosecurity post COVID 19. The design of the event is innovative and precursor that will combine the staging of the show with the content and academic rigor of a gastronomic congress. Each year this event is held thanks to the contribution of Propagas, California Raisin, US Dry Beans Council among others.
