Cap Cana closed its traditional Golf Cup 2023 for the benefit of the Forjando un Futuro Foundation

In a night of rock’n roll and American-style dancing, Destination City Cap Cana closed the traditional Cap Cana Golf Cup tournament held every year to benefit the Forjando un Futuro Foundation and in commemoration of the anniversary of the Punta Espada Golf Course.

“It’s a Road Trip” was the name of the event that is held annually to represent the culture of a country, this time in the American style, as a thank you to the community of owners, residents and commercial allies of the destination.

The event was framed within the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Forjando un Futuro foundation and the 17th anniversary of the Punta Espada golf course, in which 200 national and international players took to the course for shotgun and was attended by several personalities, including Sonia Guzman, ambassador of the Dominican Republic in the United States, and the Dominican Republic’s ambassador to the United States, ambassador of the Dominican Republic in the United States, the outstanding golfer Vicente Fernandez (El Chino), an Argentinean golfer who has won more than 60 professional tournaments around the world since 1964 and Juan Jose Guerra, who is a Dominican golfer playing in the Latin American PGA Tour.

Luis Matos and Radhamés Peña were the winners of the best gross score with 61 clubs in the tournament, held under the scramble modality in pairs.
