The La Romana-Bayahibe Hotel Association (AHRB) successfully concluded its 10th La Romana Golf Tournament in honor of businessman and CEO of InterEnergy, Rolando González-Bunster.
The event took place at The Links golf course of the Casa de Campo Resort & Villas and was attended by more than 100 golfers from all over the country.
Luis Matos and Radhames Peña were proclaimed the winners of the Tournament, with the best Overall Gross Score, thanks to an impressive score of 63 strokes (-8). In the men’s net category, Jojjan Caceres and Elvis Mallol won first place with a score of 59 strokes (-12). In the ladies’ category, Pichardo and Katherine Méndez were the champions with a score of 71 strokes (-1).
Gonzalez-Bunster said that “it is an honor and privilege for me to be able to address all of you on this special occasion. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the La Romana Bayahibe Hotel Association for organizing this wonderful event in my honor. I feel very fortunate to be able to contribute through this event to the promotion of tourism and the sustainable development of the La Romana Destination”.
Meanwhile, Andres Fernandez, president of the AHRB, said: “This golf tournament is not only a sporting competition, but also an opportunity to unite and celebrate together the beauty and charm of La Romana Destination”.
On her side, Ana García-Sotoca, Executive Director of the guild pointed out that “the La Romana Bayahibe Hotel Association is very grateful and excited to see the number of golfers and sponsors who joined together to make this traditional tournament possible. I also want to recognize the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers who participated in the organization of the event. We look forward to seeing them next year.
