Puerto Plata maintains boom: 59 cruise ships to arrive in February

The Northern Regional Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Atahualpa Paulino, announced that Puerta Plata will receive a total of 59 cruise ships through the tourist ports of Amber Cove and Taino Bay.

He explained that the distribution of cruise ship arrivals is divided between Amber Cove, which will host 24 of them, and Taino Bay, which will receive 35 cruise ships.

Paulino, recognized the continued collaboration of both leaders, highlighting the essential role they have played in the growth and flourishing of this vital industry in the region.

“Puerto Plata is thus establishing itself as an increasingly captivating tourist destination in the Caribbean, attracting not only international visitors but also cruise ships that recognize the beauty and potential of this jewel of the northern region,” he said.

He indicated that “the presence of 59 cruise ships in the upcoming season underscores Puerto Plata’s position as a renowned tourist port and a preferred choice for cruise travel enthusiasts.”
