Dominicans abroad will be able to buy real estate in the DR without so much red tape

The MIREX official indicated that the Sole Consular Power of Attorney is a contract template that will be accepted by all banking entities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented this Thursday the Sole Consular Power of Attorney, a tool that will simplify and expedite the procedures for the purchase of real estate in the Dominican Republic from abroad.

As explained by the Vice Minister of Consular and Migratory Affairs, Opinio Diaz, the Sole Consular Power of Attorney will achieve to have in a single document what previously represented about 60 papers, thus ensuring that Dominicans living abroad can obtain low-cost housing in the Dominican Republic and other properties without major barriers.

The MIREX official, indicated that the Sole Consular Power of Attorney is a contract template that will be accepted by all banking entities involved in the acquisition of real estate.
