The Dominican Republic is the third largest exporter of publishing, recording and printing products in the Caribbean region. The main destinations for these exports are Puerto Rico, the United States and Haiti.
According to a recent report by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), over the course of 2022, exports of products related to that industry experienced a remarkable growth of 106.8%, rising from US$5.2 million in 2021 to US$10.8 million in 2022.
The study identified a total of 1,396 industries engaged in these activities in the country. Among them, 98.6% correspond to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and an outstanding 99.9% are engaged in local manufacturing.
