The Specialized Body for Airport and Civil Aviation Security (Cesac) addressed as a central theme the proposal to amend the eighth edition of the National Civil Aviation Security Program (PNSAC) at the eighteenth session of the National Civil Aviation Security Committee (Conasac).
This proposal was made and presented by Cesac, in accordance with amendment number 18 of Annex 17 on Aviation Security, which highlighted the importance of maintaining the highest security standards in airport terminals.
The meeting was led by the Minister of Defense, Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, who also holds the presidency of Conasac.
The eighteenth session was attended by its full and auxiliary members, and among the topics submitted to Conasac for consideration, the support of Cesac in civil aviation security matters to the North America, Central America and Caribbean Region (NACC) was highlighted.
A detailed report was also presented on One Stop Security, an initiative that reflects the Dominican Republic’s continued commitment to strengthen international cooperation in aviation security; this regional collaboration reflects the shared responsibility to ensure the integrity and efficiency of airport and civil aviation security.
Conasac president Díaz Morfa thanked those present, in the person of Floreal Suárez Martínez, general director of Cesac, for the excellent work being done by the institution to strengthen security.
Meanwhile, Suarez Martinez reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to airport security and civil aviation, working hand in hand with all parties involved, to ensure international standards of excellence and safeguard the integrity of the Dominican skies, because security is everyone’s responsibility.
